Arron also supports the YHNE team in delivering projects which engage young people across the North East.

Victoria Clark, Administrator Fundraiser

Victoria joined YHNE in October 2017. Victoria has a wealth of knowledge and experience in all voluntary sector governance and fundraising having worked in the sector for a long time. Victoria has excellent contacts with the funding sector and has previously managed grant giving schemes therefore having first hand experience of what funders want and expect.

“This is the first time for me working for a regional charity so it will be a challenge but I’m really excited to be part of such an important organisation in the fight against homelessness in the North East”

Kieran Cutting, Doctoral Researcher

Kieran is a Doctoral Researcher at Open Lab, Newcastle University and oversees more experimental projects for YHNE, particularly those that use digital technologies. Kieran has extensive experience in working with community projects and third-sector organisations, having worked in the past as a researcher for Neighbourhood Planning projects, a campaign designer for activist projects, and a social media manager for the Labour Party during the 2017 election.

Since February 2018, Kieran has been designing and developing a digital peer support system for young people with experience of homelessness and YHNE. In addition to this, he is currently building strategic relationships for YHNE across other local and national charities in an attempt to link up the gaps in the sector and enhance overall provision for young people living through precarity.

Zinnia, Youth Champion

I’m Zinnia, I’m 23 years old and I live in Sunderland. I’m a painter and decorator for the North East Autism Society. I find it is important for young people to have a voice. I also want to help young people and show them that no matter what, you can achieve your goals/dream. Please take 5 minutes to read my story: Zinnia’s Story. It will help you understand why helping people like me is so important.
