Homeless Link LogoHomeless people without access to public funds are some of the most excluded in society. Those that also experience multi and complex needs are all too often left excluded and marginalised by falling between the cracks in services.

How can service provision be better orientated to these individuals, and what good practice exists across the country in engaging the BME community with issues relating to immigration, substance misuse, mental ill-health and homelessness?

This one-day conference funded by Homeless Link, is delivered free as part of the Strategic Alliance on Migrant Destitution, a unique cross-sector project working across the refugee/migrant and homelessness sector.

The Strategic Alliance on Migrant Destitution is designed to bring together professionals in the refugee and migrant sectors to create opportunities to support each other and work together more effectively. It aims to develop partnership working to facilitate routes out of destitution, exploring coordinated local responses to this complex issue.

This conference is delivered in partnership between Homeless Link and the Newcastle and Gateshead Fulfilling Lives Project.

Who is this event for?

  • Services based in the north east of England
  • Professionals and senior staff working in services from the services across the homeless, refugee, migrant, public health and local authority sectors.
