Since 2016, Youth Homeless North East have been working and consulting with young homeless people in the North East about what effect New Psychoactive Substances (NPS –Former ‘Legal Highs’) have had on their lives and what affect the ban, introduced in May 2016, has had on their use and supply.

We have been working with young people to co-produce an awareness raising session to deliver to young people and professionals across the North East.

We are pleased to be running the following FREE session:

Friday 13th July 2018, 2pm – 4pm
Seminar Room, First Floor, The Dolphin Centre
Horsemarket, Darlington, DL1 5RP

The session will cover the following:

  • What are NPS?
  • Why do young people use substances
  • Legal Implications
  • Risks to young people

If you wish to attend, or have young people who are interested, please confirm attendance by contacting David Whalley (, Victoria Clark ( or Arron Williamson (
