No Place like Home? Exploring the concerns, preferences and experiences of LGBT*Q social housing residents

New research has revealed the concerns of LGBT*Q residents in social housing. The study aimed to uncover LGBT*Q residents’ experiences in relation to their social housing and their views about what needs to be changed.

Despite equality laws, the study found that LGBT*Q social housing residents do not believe they are being listened to, taken seriously or treated equally.

Only a half of survey respondents felt a sense of belonging to their neighbourhood, whilst a quarter reported feeling lonely.
